About Gareth Pearce

Gareth Pearce was born in Blackwood, Wales. He studied at the Birmingham School of Architecture and obtained his Diploma from the Architectural Association in London. He has considerable international experience, having practised in Switzerland, Germany and Belgium. His work has been exhibited in Milan's Salone del Mobile and the Royal Academy in London. His built work ranges from the Elektra sofa to private client houses to the Brussels Headquarters of BP and art galleries.
In 1997 he started working on MonoMetro, an advanced suspended transport system which is now considered the most elegant and efficient solution to urban transport requirements and is being supported by development funding from the Welsh Development Agency.
